Food For Greater Elgin

CHEF has been a proud supporter of Food For Greater Elgin. In 2019, CHEF participated in the 6th Annual Pallete to Palate event, with Chef Douglas Callegario and his able assistant Edith Pelcastre, offering free samples of healthy breads and spreads. That event raised more than $50,000 for FFGE.

Food For Greater Elgin is a the Regional Guest-Choice Food Pantry, where guests are able to make their own food selections, instead of just being handed a bag of unknow food stuffs. FFGE serves more than 1,200 households in Elgin, South Elgin, East Dundee and West Dundee, equating to over 6,000 individuals of whom approximately 42% are children and 8% are elderly. Click here
