March Into Health With Plant-Based Nutrition

CHEF is proud to participate in the Annual Elgin March Into Health, month-long effort to encourage all our residents to think about ways to get healthy and stay healthy. In 2020, CHEF is thrilled to host the National Vegetarian Museum Traveling Interactive Exhibit for the entire month of March at the Gail Borden Public Library, with the support and encouragement of the Elgin Sustainablity Commission.

On March 8, 2020,  in conjunction with the NVM, CHEF's very own board member since 2016, Dr. Ashwani Garg M.D.,  will give a presentation about how eating more whole, plant foods--fruits, vegetables, greens, whole grains, nuts and seeds can be the best prescription for good health.  Along with a dynamic and fun-filled food demonstration from PCRM trained Food for Life Instructor Stephanie Ignoffo, who has presented for CHEF before.
